I dug around in my archive and found this 4x5 image from 2010. The shadow of the naked locust tree across the street added a nice dimension to the wall and iron doors. Knapp Building, Columbia, CA

An excellent image, Preston. A great study of colors and shapes with the shadow an added bonus. I really like this.

Preston, when I first opened this I knew it was 4x5. Not that it cannot be done otherwise, but the movements got this thing dead on. I suspect many will miss that point, but a real winner in that "technical" category for me. Heck, this even meets the WC theme too......laugh

A neat composition without the shadow, Preston, but I think the shadow of the tree adds a lot.

The strong lines and strong colors in the wall are emphasized well here by the tree's shadow, Preston.  This would be a nicely dramatic image without the shadow, but that shadow changes it's character significantly.
