Sitting there alone in the middle of the dunes watching, and listening to the sound of silence! I didn't think much was going to happen. But I was enjoying just sitting there, so I lingered. And the color came late!

D800,

Thanks,
Chris

The shapes, colors, and lines of the dunes are so beautiful I find the sky somewhat distracting.  Maybe a closer crop from the top?

Wow, the colors on the dunes in the middle are mesmerizing.  I'm so fascinated by the dunes I hardly look at the sky.  The texture and shapes and change of colors in the dunes is amazing. Cool.  devil

The Dunes are just outstanding, some of the best of I have seen. Maybe bring the sky down a tad, but this is still just a beautiful photo....

Chris,

The dunes are exquisite! I think you did a fantastic job of pulling some TK color out of the dunes! This is just simply beautiful.

Love this, wouldn't change a thing.  I would have lingered for this moment too.

This is beautiful photography, nice work Chris.  The soft shadows and tones in the sculpted shapes are exceptional. Agree with those for a softer sky, but a minor point.

The color and contours in the dunes really make this sing, Chris.  The foreground ripples are also sweet.  Beautiful sunset light is the icing on the cake.

Quite the textures there and crazy colors.  Some interesting dark fringing on the tops of thet dunes in the mid and bg. Natural or from masking?    Nice catch!

Beautiful, I like the whole enchilada with sky and colorful, textured dunes. Kind of different processing but I like it very much.
Worth waiting for that color, I think.

Wonderful colors and patterns on those dunes, especially the FG ones.  Everything really came together for you as you waited it out.  You never know, so i is always good to stay a little longer and see what happens.  Not sure if you were able to, but using the FG dune patterns as a major component of a shot would be fantastic.  Even a tight shot of them - so pristine and interesting patterns.  Dig it all.

So many wonderful varieties of color, shape, and textures.  This is quite spectacular Chris!  Speechless.

This looks great, Chris.  I'm loving the "softness" in the dunes from the washes of light and dark giving the dunes a somewhat surreal feeling.  The sky complements the shapes and textures in the dunes very well.

Awesome, Chris. Excellent comp. and I really like the rich, vibrant colors, although I think the brightest area on the horizon could be pulled down a tad.

This is beautiful. Love the composition and the light, and the pattern on the foreground dune is fantastic. That said, something throws off my brain when I look at the mid-ground - has there been a lot of shadow lifting applied? Somehow it feels like my brain can't figure out the shape of the landscape from the contrast in the image. I hope that's not too weird of a statement... :)
