WC #768 Diagonal Eagle

Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted January 1, 2017172 views6 comments

A banking Bald Eagle can make a pretty cool diagonal line across a frame. This one is from this last summer at Seabeck.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, hand held, f/8, 1/3200, iso 640, manual exposure. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to a 10.3 MP 4x5 before resizing. Taken at Big Beef Creek on the Hood Canal at 7:23 AM on June 15th, 2016.

Comments and criticisms are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,

It's easy to appreciate the eagle's significant wing span with your diagonal WC entry, but it's his intense stare makes the image impressive to me!

Great diagonal line, good exposure on the eagle. Nice flight image. TFS.

A great image for this challenge, Dennis! I love the wing position and the head turn.

Your corner-to-corner banking Eagle looks good Dennis. The head turn and stare make this view special.

When I saw this image Dennis, I immediately knew it had been taken at Big Beef Creek. Very nice approach to the challenge and as everyone has mentioned, the expression on the Eagle is wonderful.
