Dawn Beach

Grayland Beach State Park in Washington before sunrise.  I deliberately kept the sand fairly dark as I wanted it to look pre-sunrise.  This is a very wide sand beach and the tides in this area are significant enough that the distance from low to high tide lines is perhaps half a mile.

5DIII, ef 28-70 f/2.8L @ 28 mm, hand held, f/10, 1/80, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to pano to eliminate a bunch of foreground beach and a bit of sky.  Taken at 6:50 AM on September 13th, 2016.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Nice compositional element with the diagonal water leading the eye to the sunrise colors.

You really picked up some nice pink color from the sky in the reflection on the diagonal stream.   Very nice and simple.   I like the panoramic presentation that there might be a very tiny clockwise rotation to the horizon unless it is an optical illusion.

The greys and pastels are gorgeous, Dennis !  I especially like the composition with the inlet leading the eye to the water's edge.  Very nice image devil

You've got some lovely, gentle colors in the sky here, Dennis.  Their reflection in the stream as it angles across the view looks great as well.  I think a modest crop from the right, almost up to the tendril fo water, adds well to the sense of movement.
