Quite a beautiful sunset you caught, Gerald. I like the sky very much, and its reflection as well. The little bit of green in the distance makes a nice contrast of color and the light on the far hills is very nice. It would be great to see this a little larger, too.

Definitely a crazy sky! Things look a bit too bright to me, esp the land, not by much but feels just a bit hdr. One hell of a sunset!

Gorgeous, Gerald. No nits from me. You were there at an extraordinary moment, and you nailed it.
You're definitely not in NE Ohio any longer! I love Utah as well, but, alas, I am still living in NE Ohio (Youngstown).

Wow, this is quite beautiful. Would love t see a large version as I think the detail would really make this even better. The best part is the light bouncing off those distant cliffs. Really well processed image.

Gerald,
Glorious scene and sunset. Your composition is strong with the primary inclusion of the mirrored reflection, yet the spit of land/rock on the left works well in the comp - just enough so it doesn't feel cut off.
We've all witnessed some crazy sunset/sunrise colors and I think it's fair to say that many of us got our start in photography because of these moments.... well, at least some anyway. ;-) Having said that, this appears slightly saturated to me. I say that actually not because of the clouds and sky - like I said we've all seen some dramatically gorgeous colors, so I think the sky is the believable part. But what gets me thinking about saturation is the shore on the left and the mountain ridge which to my eye are very magenta heavy. also, the little strip of sandstone on the right is too orange - at least to my eye. As well as the stand of trees which are pretty heavy green and yellow. I think if you worked on the saturation/color of just the land formations and left the sky and reflection alone this image would get bumped up a notch or two.

Hi Gerald, a wonderful scene indeed - It would have been great to just be there and take it in - I agree with Lon's comments completely - would really make a difference to the overall result.

Hi Gerald,
First off, the light is absolutely killer in this image, love it!!!!!. I agree with some other comments on bringing down the brightness and saturation in the land areas. I think if you balance out the land areas, this image is just fantastic!!!
What a night to be alive and see and capture such an image, awesome stuff bro!
