Ice Skating Coot II

I caught this one heading for the water and got a series of shots of it walking, testing the water and going in.  I think I'll post all three just for the heck of it.  With the angle of the light, this one's eye doesn't pop as much as  the last post, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.  The little disturbance on the left is where another coot had just entered the water.  I removed part of its foot in processing.  Surprisingly to me, there's just a bit of motion blur in the raised foot even at 1/1250th.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 403 mm, beanbag on car window, f/11, 1/1250, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 14.4 MP for composition.  Taken at 10:32 AM on January 6th.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

I'd definitely like to see all three.  But I think your first sentence should have said "testing the water and going the other way." :)

This one has the same great exposure and detail as the first one.

Amazing feet on the Coots.  Good job on exposure of the blacks especially at iso 800.  You had some good light here.  Leading foot is a little blurred due to motion and the head isn't quite as sharp as the rest of the body.  Otherwise both of these are really fun photos.
