Yep, it's another one from Kansas. This is the same arch/window you've seen in the other two photos. I made this photo about 15 minutes before sunset, looking in the same direction as my first post. This is my second favorite photo from the trip. What do y'all think?

This is my favorite (so far) from your trip. I particularly like the fact that there is detail on the shaded side of the arch's wall. The warm light on the right side of the arch itself is a great addition to an already strong image.

Awesome, Bret. Those clouds and sweet light on the formations make the image for me.

Aawww, come on Bret... Quit leading us on by saving your fav for last - it's torture I say!! Of the ones you have posted so far this is my favorite. I like the full frame "arch", the sweet light, and the cotton ball clouds. I can't wait to see your favorite!

The lighting, the clouds, the detail in the rock... What's not great? I'd print this one and hang it. Very nice work.

By the way, do you ever shoot in Colorado?

Beautiful image, Bret. The quality of the light on the rim of the arch is terrific. I also love the rendering of the sky.

Bret, beautiful image. Out here in the west we call natural "window" formations, ventana's. Along the CA coast is an area called the "Ventana Wilderness Area" (two adjacent peaks provide a "window" view of the wilderness area), and a high-end establishment on the Big Sur coast called Ventana Inn; all in reference to "window(s)".

What do I think?? I think I need to visit this place myself. I really like how the low angle sun shows the detail in the right side of the arch in beautiful warm light. Well done. :toast:

Bret,
This is pretty awesome! The comp and colors are breath-taking. That one cloud there seems a tad too bright for me though...but doesn't detract from the image...
