I found a place recently which seems to be pretty conducive to "duck in flight" images.  Hope to spend some more time there if the rain ever ends!  D500, 150-600 @ 600, f9, 1/2000, ISO 500.  Love to hear your take on this one.

I like the blue sky background, the detail of the colors on the duck, particularly that green wing patch, which for me has been a real challenge to get.  Congratulations.

Simple and Sweet!

Excellent flight capture of this handsome drake Jim! I'm with Ralph on the wing patch, its very difficult to capture those iridescent colors so nicely.

Absolutely perfect, Jim.  No nits on this one.  Congratulations on a wonderful image and on finding the spot.  Never thought I'd hear a Californian complain about rain, thoughenlightened

Wonderful wing position and the techs look great. Maybe a little more room on top is the only suggestion I have.

Jim, very nice shot.  I can't say I've ever even noticed the color on their wings before, and this photo shows that off quite well.  Love the colors throughout, including the background blue.
