Northern Shoveler Pair

This is an image I took at a local lake. I like the background and the synced position of the shovelers. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2017) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice to get them both reasonably sharp, although I think the female is a bit sharper.  A good looking pair, and I like the background.  devil

Pretty nice frame Jerry.  I like the pair, the background and the nice wing positions.  As Charlie noted, reasonably sharp with the female appearing just a bit better.

Excellent job, Jerry.  Great dof to get everything but the farthest wing in crisp focus.

Jerry, not only an excellent image with good techs, it's a wonderful study of the gender differences.  Fine capture !

Lovely shot, Jerry.  You got a nice mix of light and shadow... having the faces lit up while being against a darker portion of the background worked out well (especially in the case of the female).

Excellent image.  A very good stop in flight with nice lighting.  I think the sharpness of both is quite adequate, at least for my eyes.

Great catch!  All I ever get with flying ducks is their tails as they fly AWAY from me.
Nicely synchronized wings, true colours, and sweet BG.
One is a tad soft, but still a very nice image.
With flying birds around, i am usually set at  a 1200 ISO, or  as much more as I can get.

An excellent image of this pair Jerry, she looks tack sharp and he reasonably so you could have used a bit more depth of field, the background is lovely as well. devil

Very nice color and wing position here.  I'm happy with the level of sharpness in the image although I do see the difference.  You really caught these Shoveler's in very nice light.

Hey Jerry,
I really love the color pallet of the subjects and the complimentary background, the overall composition is very well balanced and the large version is impressive indeed.
Congratulations on the WP . . .  devil

Jerry: I'm not a bird guy but this really caught my eye. Terrific light, great BG and wonderfully posed subjects. Congrats on a very well deserved WP. >=))>
