Sands of Time

I thought this image might better meet the spirit of the WC in showing how time begets sand; i.e., the action of water on the distant rocks eventually creates the grains of sand in the FG being further eroded by the freshwater rushing towards the ocean... or something like that ;-)

A tiny beach on the NorCal coast somewhere above Gualala.

The triangle and ridge of sand opening up into the ocean makes a great lead into this scene, Dave.  Your ss choice adds a good sense of "sweep" into both the stream and the ocean.  I like those dancing white water ghosts in the lower right quarter.

Interesting shapes and water patterns here.  I like the way the sand is set off by the incoming slow water exposure.   Yes, will Allah is a fascinating area on the north coast of California.  I spent quite a lot of time there when I lived in the Bay Area.

D.A., this makes a neat beach or shoreline scene. I really like the wispy water going on there. I would be tempted to make two changes.
One is a very slight crop from the left to eliminate that landmass poking in on the side. Secondly, I might really check this green cast a bit. I think sliding the mid tone toward magenta to offset some of it is worth a test. It just might be natural occurring look out there, but I think a try on working the color balance might really pop this scene.
