I like this a lot, D&L. The skipper is very cute and very well imaged. The floral stem on which it is perched is outstanding.  I personally find that the cut off main stem and flowers on the far left detract from the image. You don't indicate whether this has been cropped, but it looks very clean and with excellent detail even in the large view, so I would personally play with cropping the far left and the bottom (plus maybe some judicious cloning) to isolate the  skipper and as much of the stem as possible.

D&L this a beauty. One does not get a skipper in this set up ( atleast for me). Beautifully crafted

Thanks for the comments.
The image is full frame, no crop. The composition was intended to give the idea of the large plant with flowers and of the little BF waiting for the sun, to warm up and fly. The original orientation was maintained, as in almost all our shots.

Thanks again.

Yes, we're waiting for spring over here too, Daniel and Loana!  This is a lovely look at this bf and it's perch.  I like how you've set the stem of buds set against that clean green background while catching some light on the dew drops.  The flowers are a fine addition in a nicely complementary color.

This is exquisite!  Composition, colors, light, background and details are excellent.  Nice work lining up everything in the focal plane to show us all the beautiful details.
