Willet Hunting Breakfast

The same bird as last with the same setup, uncropped and full frame. While wandering the shallows, they're constantly moving around (note the motion blur of the lifted foot) and probing for food.

Nice pose with the head turn and foot coming out of the water.  I like the ripples in the water.  The overall tonality seems a bit flat or uniform and it might help to darken the water to let the bird pop more.  Nice capture.

Nice detail and pose for this Willet Bill. I have been seeing a few of them this last weekend here at the Newport Back Bay Estuary also. I agree with Allen that it might help to darken the water to help contrast the Willet more.

As with thr previous Willet post this is rather flat as presented. Try adding a levels layer, selecting Auto Levels, then reducing the layer intensity to 85% of so.

The lifted foot makes the image for me. Some more contrast to make the bird pop a bit more could help. Best , Hans

Another nice Willet shot Bill. I would agree a little more contrast might improve the image. I like the head turn and raised foot. Well done!

Another lovely shot of this bird, Bill.  I like the quiet feel of the scene.

Of the two images of the Willits, I prefer this one.  The pose is more interesting.  As others have said, the lighting is a little flat and I think Richard had some good ideas to boost the contrast.  But a very peaceful image.
