I am posting this image in order to load it into my gallery. It was posted several months ago but it was dropped out of the gallery due to that the permanent gallery check was not made. I made several compositions of this area and after a period of time I've decided that this panorama is my favorite.

I really like the composition and the soft light. There does appear to be halo along the ridge line-sky interface. The detail and color work well. This has a peaceful mood that I like.

Igor,
Glad you posted this again because it is one of my favorites and it certainly should be in your gallery. Seeing it again I like it every bit as much as I did the first time, maybe even more...cool Absolutely beautiful image!  Nick

This gives a nice feeling of openness and expansiveness. I was looking for carabou ;-)

Gorgeous dappled lighting, the pano view looks great.  The sky cooperated too.  Gives me the expansive, endless feel that this area must afford.  Delicate processing, not oversaturated, very much enjoy this one.  Can't see how to improve on this.

Certainly well worth reposting for your gallery, Igor. I like the light, open feeling, and beautiful sky. Beautiful image overall and well processed.

I like this Igor.  The interplay of light and shadow works well and the panoramic format emphasizes the expansiveness of the scene.  The processing looks very natural to my eye.

Excellent panoramic composition, Igor.  It's nice to have great cloud cover and cooperative light.  The brighter middle ground is really sweet.  Not only worth keeping in your gallery, but it would make a fine large print as well.

Really an impressive and at same time understated image, Igor.   Love the big empty country feel here.  I would address the haloing and I'm on the fence about the white spot lower left.  Certainly worth retaining in your gallery.

Gorgeous image and it gives the sense of expansiveness that is so prevalent up there.  Very nice.  The colors are perfect.  This is actually a bit north of the Pass, right?

Genny, I can see why you would think that this is north of Atigun Pass. The  treeless shrubbery is the ecosystem you find on the tundra north slope leading to Prudhoe Bay. However, this is just south of the pass. This is taken off the highway and the climb to the pass starts just left of this image. From Coldfoot the highway follows a river whose name escapes me at this time. That river gets progressively smaller as you drive north until you reach a spot where the river is just a large creek. The highway starts to climb from there leaving the river. About 5 miles from there you reach this broad plateau with this enormous view. During those 5 miles you leave the spruce and aspens and reach a different landscape entirely.

Incidentally, for those interested, the highway from Fairbanks to the Prudhoe Bay is about 500 miles but the very best section is the 50 miles from Coldfoot to Atigun Pass IMO. The is a section around the Arctic Circle.
