Really nice pose and composition, Sharron, with excellent detail. There seems to be a slight blue cast to the feather sheen-was the bird in the shade? Anyhow, you might try warming the bird up a little to see if you like the effect. A sweet image.

Hi Sharon,
Nice pose and the comp works well with this subject. I agree with Dennis in that the highlights have a heavy cyan-blue cast which can be easily reduced in processing. Other than that--well done......................Jim

Nice pose and simple perch. You could easily go for a vertical using just the left half of this. I agree about the color cast. You might be able to show more detail in the black plumage.

This is a good pose and a clean, uncluttered image, Sharron. I'd also vote for pulling back on the blue cast.

This certainly captures typical Red-winged Blackbird behavior, Sharon. I like the angled stem of it's perch as well as the details and sharpness of the bird. I too see the blue cast, especially in the beak, eye, and legs.

Great image! There seems to be a bluish tone throughout out the photo, though.

Always nice to see these guys, and Florida gets a head-start in spring.
Nice pose on a good reed, and very nice BG.
I also see the blue/green cast., especially in the blue beak and legs.
Try circling the bird with the magnetic lasso tool in PS, and then reducing the blue channel only on the bird.
I think there will an improvement.
Very nice image!
