Nice to have  one of these nesting in  a box on the garden fence.  I still like the old D200 as well. Often  gets nicer stuff than my newer models

Nikon D200
Sigma 100-300mm

640 ISO
200th sec @f9
Slight crop
Levels Paint Shop Pro
Vimas Image Guru on face blacks
Thanks for looking

A terrific image as presented. A lovely bird I'd be happy to see some day. The branch with leaves adn buds works well. A nice background. Excellent sharpness and exposure.

I always liked my D200 and expect it is still going strong in someone else's hands.

Thanks Richard
I  always reckon the D200 is more robust, and slightly bigger and easier to hold. If the exposure is right the noise isn't too bad.
Cheers

Hi John
I sometimes think we chase the latest and greatest only to find old standards work just as will. Really nice work.

Beautiful, John.  Superb dof with everything important in focus and a nice soft bg.  Great head turn too.

John,
Great shot with classic posedevil
I know nothing about Nikon but still think my best Canon was the 1D Mk III, now in the hands of a guide in Zimbabwe.

This just great, John. I absolutely love it! The buds on the branches give it a nice spring feel. That nice creamy background is gorgeous as well.

Should be really nice to have such beautiful bird nesting in your garden, and you could capture a very nice picture of it.
