Several large flocks of goldfinches, with  few pine siskins along for the ride, have hopefully taken up residence nearby.

I think you did a good job of controlling the yellow saturation on this one.  Superb detail.  I like to head turn.  And an appropriate spring perch.  I too have been seeing a large influx of Goldfinches and Pine Siskins in my area.

Very nice catch. It's amazing that the bird can perch on such a tiny flower, like angels dancing on the head of a pin, he must take himself lightly. Beautiful pose and detail in the bird.

A nice and simple portrait which can often be hard to execute, well done. The 'perch' is sweet, delicate and in keeping with the ratio of subject.

Like the look back pose and good control of the blacks, but I feel the critical sharpness is on the back feathers/wings and not on the eye/head.

What a beautiful presentation Sandy. The colors, backside pose and wonderful perch are all very complimentary to each other. I like this a lot, well done! I'm hoping to spend some time with them this weekend.

Nicely detailed image of the bird on it's whimsical perch. I see a little bit of sharpening halo on the head, but it pretty much disappears in the larger image.

I like the bird's attitude and vertical orientation. But as Phil said I can see the halo.

Beautiful, Sandy.  A really nice pose and I love the flower perch.  Excellent detail and bg.
