Taken at Sobranes Point in Big Sur,CA, December 2015
This is one of my favorite spots to photograph and enjoy the serenity of the Big Sur coastline
In the Spring, there are wildflowers in the foreground, every month brings a different personality
to this location.

A very nice classic landscape image with rich tones and colors throughout. Good cloud presence gives the sky great contribution to the composition. A very fine image.

Michael,

Indeed a very classic sea/landscape. Excellent balance between the earth, sea and sky.  Wait, long before you joined that's what this Gallery was called! ES&S!  ;-)  But really, there is great balance here; great timing with not only the crashing wave, but the prior wave receding over the stones.  I like this quite a lot.

I was at this spot a few years back with to fellow NPN members.  I remember getting a nice cut on my leg getting down to the rocky beach and coming home with poison oak... But the photograph was worth it.

A couple small suggestions.  Very minor and quite picky, but it appears that the ocean/horizon is tilted slightly clockwise, cw. Also very minor, the hue of the blue in the upper right, UR, seems slightly off, but could just be me.

Lovely atmosphere with the clouds and crashing surf.  Some angled light on those stacks would have been icing on the cake, but pretty dramatic as is.

Michael, What a wonderful view this is. I agree with Igor and Lon that it has that classic sea/landscape look and that is a good thing. The water in the rocks looks great and the clouds add the perfect touch to this beautiful view.
