Wonderful detail and a nice pose.  I do find  the OOF white water dripping under the beak a little distracting.  Either darken or clone away.  Otherwise nicely composed.

Nice, Richard.  I like the way it's framed by the rocks.

I will echo David about the OOF water. It would be of no consequence, except it is directly under the beak.

Cute little bird.  Setting is pleasant enough, but the rock directly left of the bird competes for my attention.  The OOF water confused me in the thumbnail and for a moment in the bigger image.  It either needs to be toned down or removed to resolve the issue for me.

Good detail in the Quail and a pleasant setting.  I guess the water didn't bother me, other than being jealous you have such a nice setting in your backyard.

Wow, pretty cool to have Quail chicks in your backyard, Richard. You did a great job capturing detail in this low light.  The rock to the left draws my eye just a bit, but overall a very nice scene you have captured.

This is one of those shots where the larger version really makes a huge difference, Richard!  The sense of presence in the large version is much greater and the clarity and details of the little quail stand out.  It really feels like you're right there in 3D, closer than you probably should be and gives you a sense of the environment.

Your lighting and DOF here are choice Richard. What a pleasant look at this youngster. Really good work with the dappled light conditions.
