I was out in the evening a week or so ago and this Robin posed nicely for me before it went into the bath.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held, f/8, 1/250, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped from a horizontal original to a 9.2 MP 4x5 vertical.  Taken at 8:17 PM on May 26th.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Nice portrait of common bird (at least around here).  I like the warm light, the complimentary background and the simple perch.  Nicely done.

Nice capture of a bird so common that most of us don't bother taking his picture,  You did really well with getting a good pose on a good perch.

Looks as if you have some nice lighting on the Robin.  The pose and perch are good and the background works well with the Robin's colors.  A common bird, but as you've shown attractive when photographed well.

Wonderful light in a well composed image with superb detail and a smooth background.  And a nice head turn to top it off.

You sure made this Robin look nice, Dennis. I don't even pay them any mind here, they are so numerous. Maybe I should. This looks great in that warm light!!!

Nice Robin, Dennis.  I like the warm light in this photo. The vertical composition works well with this classic pose also.

Nice work keeping the true colors here in the lighting conditions you were working with. It would be so easy (for me) to oversaturate this guy. Nice clean perch and BG too.

One of the best  images I've seen of this fairly common bird. The background is killer Dennis!
