Wonderful to get one of these singing out in the open and on such a pleasing perch, Allen.  An excellent image with fine detail in the bird.  Well done.

A tough bird to get in view of your binoculars, let alone with a camera lens.  This is a wonderful capture with a good natural environment.  devil

Really nice shot, Allen.  I like that you caught him in the middle of the song.

Nice composition, and good work getting this shy bird in such an open spot.

The head appears a bit on the soft side - perhaps some movement as it sang?

Many of the green leaves look unnatural. Did you pull down the exposure on them or paint over them?

Terrific calling pose and I really like your perch.  Wrens are hard to come by; especially this one.  Good job on this catch.

Thanks for the comments.

Richard: You're right about the leaves not looking quite right.  The effect of too much noise reduction on the background.  Should have caught that.

Nice job getting this singing pose, Allen. Tough to get these wrens out in the open. I do see the strange effect on the leaves as mentioned. A very nice image!!!

Congratulations in finding one out in the open. I;ve found them to be vocal but amazingly skulky. Great detail. But perhaps a bit too centered in the frame?

Lovely singing pose and the vertical crop works very nicely. Cheers, Hans

Nice singing pose and an interesting and colorful marsh wren perch.  I prefer the original composition with the wren closer to the top of the frame.
