Basin Swirl 2

This is just around the corner from my last photo. The water flows out of that image into this one, where it fills a small pool before continuing it's way toward The Basin. Any and all comments and critiques are appreciated!

This is once again very refreshing, Craig.  I think what would kick this up a notch, would be for the submerged rocks to be in focus, even crystal clear.  Otherwise, real nice.

Gary, that's an interesting observation, and I do think that would add to the image now that you say it. I'm not entirely sure if the rocks are out of focus, or if it's the flowing water that is distorting the rocks. I'll have to look through my files and see if I have any that look different. Otherwise, that will be an experiment for the next time I'm up there.

My opinion is similar to Gary's, Craig. I do not think there is enough interest or attractiveness to the bottom, which is half the photo. I also am not sure what to make of the mini cairn in the ULC. I can't decide if it adds interest or is unnatural and does not belong. wink

Both of these photos are outstanding for their comp and literally, for their flow. I love the rocks at the bottom of the pool on this one, and that arching swirl on the other one really stand out. A wonderful intimate look at a place I'd love to sit by for a few hours.
