Chilean Flamingo

At the start of my May Patagonia tour we were fortunate to find a small flock of Chilean flamingos near shore.  Though they were fairly comfortable with our presence, they did eventually take off, giving us a few clear frames in flight with no other distracting bird life (ducks, cormorants and swans) in the background.

Beautiful bird with an excellent flight pose and detail, Max.  I like the reflection as well.

Beautifully sharp and detailed, and the colors of the bird and the water go really well together.

That's a beauty.  The clear background and colorful reflection really make this work.   Nice job swinging on the bird at 1/1600 sec.  with such a long (and heavy) lens.

Flamingos in flight are really fun to watch.  This one really has a lot of nice color and you did a good job of getting detail and a nice reflection.
