Nice find and an excellent image of an extraordinary insect, Sandy. Isn't nature amazing?

Caterpillars have some amazing shapes and colors, Sandy.  This really shows that off well along with the nicely matching colors of the stem.

Love the image and the neat title you gave it, Sandy.  Nature is amazing, and that is one of the reasons I love macro photography, allowing me to see and enjoy the details of the smaller creatures that God spoke into being.

Really nice shot Sandy.  Do you know if those are stinging hairs on him?

The amount of shapes and forms in nature is simply amazing. This looks like moss growing on a twig. The little green dots on the caterpillar resemble the algae on the twig. Did you use a piece of paper as a background? Very nice colours and detail. And the diagonal prevents it from being static.

Hi Sandy,

A very nice picture of this very spiny caterpillar.  The caterpillar stands out well from the BG..............................Jim
