We've heard one of these singing from the copse near my blind all summer and this one came to investigate the pond.  I haven't seen it drink or bathe yet, but hope to soon.  When I was in Texas this spring the Carolina ends were in my bath all the time.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, f/8, 1/160, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to a 10 MP 4x5 before resizing.  Taken at 6:49 am on July 12th.

Your comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

devil Great shot Dennis. Love the nice soft BG, the lighting is fantastic, the feather detail and even the branch are really, really good. Not to mention a good look right in the eye.

Super shot of this little guy, Dennis.  I really like the soft light and complimentary natural BG.

Excellent shot! I love the nicely blurred background and the great detail of the bird itself. I also I also appreciate that the subject isn't centered in the frame.

Very similar to ours. Grand little chap. . Wrens seem to have a connection with water - using the pools all the time but boy are they fast !!
 Nice positioning

Excellent job on the detail and color on this one.  Stands out nicely against your beautiful background.  Wrens are a rarity in my neck of the woods.  I've only seen one.
