Chipping Sparrow

This may be the same bird as the last Chipping Sparrow I posted, though there were a couple around that morning.  I liked the head turn in this one as well as the wet plumage.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, tripod with BH-55 & Sidekick, f/8, 1/1000, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 1/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 16.3 MP before resizing.  Taken at 10:37 on July 22nd under hazy skies.

Your comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

This is an excellent shot, Dennis, and I too like the head turn.  You really have that pond set up nice to be complimentary to the subjects, and evidently attracting the birds.  Great detail in the feathers.

Nice behavioral image.  The wet plumage creates an interesting contrast here.  I like the pose and composition.

Hi Dennis
You are getting some great detail with the aid of that Sidekick.  The only thing that tock my eye of the Sparrow was the water droplet
in the for-ground.
