Eclipse Shadows

This was one of the more interesting phenomenon to occur during the eclipse yesterday.  These are pinhole shadows of the sun at 94% occlusion through my Japanese Maple onto my deck.  This could only occur during a solar eclipse.

Iso 800, 27 mm, F8, 25th of a second, Nikon 1 AW1, handheld,  full frame, Topaz and TK actions

David, I two was doing this although I didn't get nearly as many "pinholes" showing on the neighbor's deck, where he had the proper glasses and his camera set up.  The multitude of pin hole images works well here David and the aged wood texture of the decking adds a good sense of where and how.

Truly the best eclipse photo of them all.  One-of-a-kind and something that hardly anyone will ever experience.  You comp with the diagonal really does it justice.  You can't plan for this.  You just of to be there and recognize what's happening and shoot.  Good job!
