From the same series as my previous uploads. Top of Beartooth pass in Montana. Altitude close to 11,000 feet. I had just arrived from sea level and my hike was pretty painful. I had a headache and I couldn't breath but it was worth it!

Cheers,

Hisham.

This is a very nice image.  I like the environment you captured along with the mt. goat.  Detail in the goat is very good!  The only thing I could suggest is that if you could have caught the goat with his horns against a lighter area, as it is they sort of blend into the BG, but this is only minor thing.  Would like to have taken this myself.  Thanks for sharing.

The background is what makes this shot. Well seen and well captured.

Yeah, I can imagine that was a tough adjustment.

It's really nice to see a mountain goat that's not shedding (which is usually how I see them in spring). enlightened  To me it does look like the image lacks a little contrast... maybe the shadows have been brought up too much, the highlights dropped, or both.  But I like the placement of the subject in the frame and the background has some great textures.

While I like the background, details and overall beauty of this photo, what I like best is that it shows the strength and majesty of these wonderful animals.

Hisham I love the perspective of the goat in this shot as being on the edge of the world looking over it's domain. At first I thought it might look more balanced if there were a bit more foreground, but that would lose the edgy perspective that you have captured with this composition.

Worth it indeed.  Love this habitat shot.  Not certain if you could adjust exposure to make the goat a little brighter?  You might also consider cropping out the road scar.

Hisham: this is a wonderful enviroscape. I really like seeing the musculature and solidity of the goat. Congrats! Richard

Fine capture, Hisham!  I agree timing for horns against lighter background would have been great, but might have been impossible in the real setting.  Terrific location!
