Quiet Time

A few years ago, we went to San Francisco and to Half Moon Bay.  This is a very loving scene of a man walking down the beach at Half Moon Bay with his toddler.  I asked, if I could take their photo, and they, gracefully, accepted.  It was a gorgeous morning just after sunrise.
The pano was not sharp enough for me, so I gave it a more artistic look.  I hope you like it.

Lucy, this is a very inviting scene, with the man and child having a major role.  The artistic looks works well with the added contrast and the subtle magenta tones making a coolly inviting scene.

This to me is an easy to look at image.  I think it could be a stress relief to just stop and take it in.  TFS.

Yes, Lucy, I like the artistic treatment a lot and think it's a beautifully composed photograph. It would have a been a successful photo even without the man and his toddler, but that added loads of emotional appeal; besides, they are perfectly placed and with them walking away ratrher than toward the viewer, it tells a story, or rather asks a question: Where are they headed?

Lovely composition, Lucy.  I think the reduction of detail actually helps us appreciate the composition as well as the mood and attention to the man and child.  As we can see in many paintings, sometimes details just get in the way.

A pleasing scene and an excellent composition, Lucy.  The processing gives it a very strong painted impression which makes the lack of fine detail appear 'normal'.  Good job with making it all work!
