Dahlia #4

Jenny purchased a couple of dahlia roots while we were out west this spring.  This one has been blooming off and on through the summer, but our dogs manage to destroy the blooms with wagging tails.  This one was photographed yesterday evening. Jim, it's an excellent work for me. I am wondering how the image would look like with a warmer green in the BG. A beautiful photo.

Jim,
A beautiful shot. Excellent detail and the colors are gorgeous. I like the sharp bud and the inclusion of the leaves below. The only detail I would change is maybe clone out the little piece of a stem on the right side bottom.
Very well done.

A very photogenic dahlia and a great background to support it! I agree with Dan Schwartz about the light yellow green stem in the LRC, which for my eye is a bit of a clash.

Jim, incredible beauty.  Wonderful colors, and wonderful details with wonderful softness.  I agree with the comments about the lighter stem.

Very nice capture with an excellent background. The bud of plant gives extra look to the flower

Jim: The OOF stem downgrades this to only 99.95% wonderful. Marvelous subject superbly composed and captured. Many thumbs up. >=))>
