Lilies in the storm

This picture was taken during the height of hurricane Harvey. The torrents of rain falling heavily on my pond provided a stark contrast to the water lilies that were still in their glory. The effect was impressionistic so I decided to keep the grain. Taken with the Canon 7 mark ii in the Canon 100 400 l lens. F9, 1/1250, iso2500. Feedback is always appreciated  Ry

Good comp and the rain certainly creates an almost Impressionist effect. Two things:
  • A larger (somewhere between 1200 to 1600 pixels on the long side would be helpful in critiquing.
  • Please feel free to jump in critiquing. You will learn as much as being critiqued, guaranteed.

Ry I like very much your interpretation that express the ambience during the hurricane. Beautiful for me.
