Here is a color image from the Denali Highway from me. Igor was kind enough to post one of his, as well.

Really love the expansive view of the larger version. Feels like I'm standing there. There are vistas like this all along the hwy ifg I remember correctly. Is the road still unpaved?

This is real nice, Harley. The detail is excellent. One thing I find interesting is the round cloud on the right since it look much different than the other clouds in the scene. I like the layers of sunlight and shadow. You did a fine job handling the dynamic range. Nice work!

Another beauty. The shadow play on the land adds a lot of dimension to the image. I could see brightening the highlights on the land a touch to accentuate further. Your processing looks very natural and spot-on.

Beautiful image Harley. It's nice to have that long lens. I even see a glacier in this image. As far as comparing it to your b&w, it's apples and oranges. I do think the other has greater emotional impact. It's interesting - that lake is probably due to the glacier that has retreated. In fact, those look like lateral moraine's leading to the lake. There is good detail in the mountains.

Harley, This looks fantastic! The large version is an absolute treat to view. A beautiful scene and processed perfectly for me. Love this one!
Off for the UP in the morning and wanted to make sure I commented on this before I took off. Nick

Harley,
It's a wonder you ever made it home if you're stopping all the time to capture these gems. ;-) I like the slightly zoomed in composition where we can see more detail in the mountains as well as the.
Is it just me, or is this really leaning cyan - especially in the mountains? My first thought was this had the look of Ektachrome or some film like that. Of course I wasn't there and don't know what you visually saw and interpreted, but the hue seems a little off to me. I like the greens in the vegetation of the landscape, but once you go beyond that and look at the greens of the foothills in the far distance, the cyan seems to increase; less green, more cyan.
Of course, only a nitpicker would notice.

The detail in the large is spectacular Mr. Harley. The shadow play across the foreground is sweet. I think I agree with Lon about the cyan and blues. Could be my monitor being off. Small nit, big country.

Wow, that large image puts you right there. What an amazing landscape, great panorama, beautiful light and coloring on the mountains. This would have to be framed and on the wall.

The large version really shows the detail in the mountains and a great sky, too. Nicely done.

Gorgeous look here, Harley. Makes one want to make that wonderful journey along this section of highway. Not sure exactly where you took this one from, but it looks like a glacier flow in that distant gorge between the mountains maybe?
The resulting lake from those flows or runoff adds nicely to the scene. Looks like grizzly territory out there too. I suspect you never had to drag out the bear spray while on the trip. We did not have those items back in the my trekking trips in the outback. We just had to keep the firearms on the ready....
