Hello everyone, good to be back . . .
My paying job has had me involved on a project at the new Space Flight Laboratory at Cal Tech since early June, once completed, I took a leisurely 17 day drive from Pasadena back home to Atlanta with most of the time spent in Arizona, Utah and Colorado.
This image is from the Grand Canyon were, of course, one of my favorite encounters was with a bird on a stick.
Hand held, 40% of full frame.

Really lke the background and perch on this one, Gary. My only suggestion would be to lower the exposure just a bit on the bird and a little more on the perch. Well done.

Real nice color, composition, and detail. Love the background. The small branch in the center to the right of the tale is a little bit of a distraction but there's not much you can do about that.

I like the color palette a lot on tis one Mike. That BG color really pulls the color out of the bird as well.

A lovely Bluebird against a pretty awesome, bg, Mike. Glad you found time for a leisurely return trip. I like the compositoion, but I do wish that snag hadn't had the forward projecting branches.
