Finally got a sunny day in Valdez blush

I think we've had 7 of them this whole summer. I was so excited I took a vacation day from work and went out with the camera. One of my favorite places this time of year is the tidal ponds where the ducks hang out. This is one of many shots I took. I liked the warm, peaceful atmosphere (despite the fact that it was only 45°F).

Sony a6500, FE100400GM w/1.4X @ 560mm, ISO-250, f/8.0, 1/1250, hand held.

Hey Gary,
Wonderful light, color and detail with a perfect depth of field to get both subjects so crisp. The environment and water reflections add extra interest to the composition that compliments the low POV well.
The large version is very impressive indeed . . . laugh

Nice light and point of view on this image Gary. I like the positioning of the Mallards. How nice to have a day like this with the sun at your back.

Nice light i this Gary and I also like the peaceful feeling you describe. If I only had 7 days of sun over the summer, I would go nuts. But I am sure I would find each one of them extremely fulfilling!

A lovely scene with the mallards very well placed, Gary. I really like the fall light in this image, though the saturation seems just a tiny bit too much for my taste. Beautiful image.
