Dump Lark

While in southern Morocco last April, we visited the Tagdilt Track, which goes through a large landfill.  The trash is a magnet for birds, like this Thick-billed Lark, a special bird of the desert.  Its range extends across the western and central Sahara with another population on the Arabian peninsula.  Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM + 1.4X III at 560mm, manual exposure f/8 @ 1/2000th, ISO 1250.

Hi Charles
You did a good job with the low angle and giving the Lark air and allowing it to stand out from it's back-ground.

Considering the limited range of color, an outstanding effort making the bird visible against the brown background. Excellent work. You could probably make an overhead crop of the superfluous headroom.

Nice palette, Charles.  It looks like you might be using the automatically generated smaller image or one of your sizes isn't using the same color space as the other as there's a big difference between the smaller and larger tones.
