Hi Sandy,

Pano crop looks fine with your subjects.  Center composition suits subject well. I'm fine with your image as presented. Well done.................Jim

Great angle, Sandy, and a funny title given the efforts it takes these birds to get off the water.  The composition works really well.

Real nice head on view and point of view on the image.  I could stand to see a little more detail under the beak, but I understand how difficult that would be.  I'm guessing you took this at the same time you shot your last Loon photo in July with your D800.  Is this from the shore or were you in a canoe or kayak?  Only nit I have is that  there is a sharpening halo around the bird.

Nice moment, Sandy. Looks like Junior is paying attention to the lesson.

I like the unusual head on pose with the wings partially raised. The red eyes are really cool and the young Loon adds a lot. Nice comp and the low shooting angle gives a great perspective.
