A common bird, but I liked the setting.

Excellent head turn, Allen, and a nice composition.  I like it.

I love the composition and the head turn, and I also actually really like this bird.  If you look at it for a minute you see the all the shades and richness of all the browns and tans, and it looks really pretty.

This is very well composed and the setting is lovely, Allen!  The detail, sharpness, and color are excellent.

I love everything about this image. The browns of the sparrow, the greens of the leaves and the clear bokeh. The large image is the one to see, and, wow, is it large!

I really like the composition on this one.  The foreground and background leaves along with the pose make this happen.  The sparrow is perfectly placed on the branch so that you have a wonderful creamy background.  Can't ask much more from avian photography.

Beautiful image Allen. Great pose, background and the perch works well too.

I've looked at this a number of times since it was posted. I don't think this is a House Sparrow - the bill and posture just aren't right for that. I think this is a young White-crowned Sparrow, although I'd be happier with that ID if there was more evidence of wing bars. The 8/4/17 date in the EXIF puts the age close to the transition from juvenile to first winter.

The image is very nice as posted. Excellent sharpness and natural color.

A common bird, but an uncommon image. Very nice, indeed. This just goes to show you can have a great image of a simple subject. Well done.
