Shot this image while searching for fall color a couple weekends ago just outside the NW corner of Mt Rainier NP. The color was past its prime but this foggy scene was nice compensation. Thanks for looking.

I love these shots, excellent mist...
I might try to darken/contrast the lower right for a bit of balance as a matter of personal taste.

Bruce, Nice compensation is right! I love conditions like this and you captured this scene beautifully in them. I like this very much just as you have it here and the b&w conversion looks like a good choice. Very nicely done!

Bruce, this b/w version is entirely different in mood than the color.  The fog looks thicker here masking details...almost got me yearning for a biggie version to zoom into and see details.  Really a special pov to see this hillside so shrouded.  Well done!

I love the mood with the fog, Bruce. This was some nice compensation indeed.

I'm a sucker for these types of fog shots, and I think you did it really well.  Very moods, might even consider a vertical crop using the left 2/3.  You made a really nice shot out of the conditins you had.

Who needs fall color when you have a scene like this in front of you. Very nicely presented.

Love all the detail and texture in this, plus a great mood with the fog swirling among the trees. Great job making the best of a situation and opening your eyes to what was there!

Bruce,

Love this stuff too!  Great mood and atmosphere.  There's a very nice balance between the fog that obscures and the details of the trees.  Well done.  No nits or suggestions.

Bruce, if I added any comments I would only be repeating those already given.  Excellent image!

Very nice work, Bruce!  The fog obviously creates a lot of mood for this image and the different elements in your composition are arranged nicely to keep my eye roaming throughout the frame.  The contrasting light and shadow areas also help keep my eyes moving.

I love that center tree rising out of the fog like that. It's like something from the book of Genesis. My only suggestion has to do with the frame, the aspect ratio. I would go with a square image by removing a bit from the left and the right. That scraggly tree on the left makes a great counterpoint to the main tree.
