BEST VIEWED LARGE

First, thanks for your comments on my previous image; I really appreciate them.

Shot this image this morning as I was driving down a beautiful country road.  I love foggy mornings and Live Oak trees so I was real happy to come upon this.  Four images, focus stacked.  Hope you enjoy...

Comments, suggestions, and critiques always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

I really like this image, Bill. The composition works well especially the branch in the upper part which gives a sense of being there with beautiful colors. Well seen!

I also love these foggy images. It's hard to give it just enough clarity, but this is perfect. I like the way the fog seems to be much denser toward the right, it gives it great depth.

Most beautiful textures, especially in the large version, Bill.  Very effective contrast in tones and clarity between the nearer branches and the more distant trees.  A very happy encounter indeed !!

This is great, Bill. Love how the mist subdues everything to a really mellow mood.devil

This is sweet Bill. Love the soft colors and the mood. The branch at the top doesn't work very well for me here - do you have one where you took a step forward to exclude it from the view? I somewhat understand why it's there, however it doesn't balance very well for me because the bottom edge of the image is very smooth and lacking strong features.

This is wonderful Bill - even a bit enchanting.  The fog has really given this great mood and atmosphere.  For me, the branch and leaves up top work.  It follows my guidelines of, it you're going to include something, then include enough to make sure the viewer knows it.  I think that's the case here.  There is enough to tell me it's an important part of the composition, and actually I think fills that part of the frame that might have been empty otherwise.

Great find on your drive and an even better capture and presentation.

My thoughts were the same as Basil. Lovely scene and great mood, but the branches along the top are not quite working for me. Not an image killer, but I would prefer a view without them. Overall, love the image though.

The shapes of the live oak trees are great, Bill.  The fog adds a neat sense of mystery.  The extra clarity of the branch at the top does work well at putting me there.

Bill, there are four areas of interest in your composition for me, that complement each other interestingly: the prominent tree at the left, the darker trunks in the background, the brighter ones at the right and then the branch with the autumn foliage at the top. This way you lead me nicely through the composition. I just think wether the inclusion of the trunk at the right might make for an additional anchor, but I of course do not know the surroundings of the scene.

A wonderful presentation of the atmosphere to me.
