Beech Woodland

In these mostly beech woods other trees play a role in shaping their particular feel.  I liked the way a birch trunk seemed to echo the lean of the old beech ( even if climbing out of the frame !! )

Lovely fall woodland scene...
Elegant and gracefall with the muted colors.
Wouldn't change a thing.

Ian,

Agree with Dan's comments.  An almost unconventional composition with the leaning birch as well as the fallen tree behind.  I think the both of them combined work well to provide a somewhat dynamic interest to an otherwise conventional landscape image. Hope that make some sort of sense.

No nits or suggestions.

This quite a nice fall scene.  The foreground leaves work far better in the large image for me. The perspective changes with size. I like the colors and depth of the image.
