I've not been to Ecuador so can't positively ID the hummer, but it looks like a Green Crowned Brilliant to me that I've photographed thousands of times in Costa Rica.

Good detail and color for iso 1600. I'm assuming this was not taken in Africa.

Hi Ken,

Nice rich colors and minimal noise at ISO 1600. You lost a little bit of image quality with the crop, but still a very nice image...............Jim

Nice work on this hummer Ken! I have no idea on the ID since I have never been anywhere near the location this was taken at.

Nice detail in the hummer, Ken. To my eye, it looks like it could use a bit of an exposure boost. I think I'd play with the relative brightness of the hummer and bg as it has an overall rather dull look for this kind of bird. I also think it could stand to go further up and right in the frame.

Sorry for the late reply, this was taken in Brazil, no idea if this could change the ID?
Thanks for the comments and suggestions devil
