Black-necked Stilt

This was the same day as the Yellowlegs. I took this one just a few minutes earlier and this is the frame right after he touched down. If you view it large, you will see a small splash at the front foot. Since I saw a couple people mention the reflection in the other image I will mention this image does not have a full reflection (like the other one). I did not have room in the frame to get the bird and the reflection.

This is awesome Kurt. I love the position of the stilt here. It looks like it is stepping out on the town with its nice tuxedo on. The eye is amazing.

Just beautiful Kurt. That landing pose makes it for me. He looks like an elegant ballroom dancer strutting his stuff. Well done.

Another excellent image.  Timing is perfect.  Looks so delicate touching down on the water.  Congrats on a fine frame!

Kurt very nice, great frame, great action, very nice image of Black-necked Stilt. Yes, simple and elegant photos from your same day photo shoot.

A great way to show off those legs, Kurt.  The bottom half of the pose is ideal.  The top half not as much, only because I feel the dark bill gets lost slightly with the wing behind it.  So if I were to compare the two, I prefer your last one by a small margin.  Nonetheless, it's still a fine capture and once again, I admire how the water is so calm and still around this splashdown.

The leg position definitely makes this image, Kurt.  I do wish it's rear wing had been a touch further back, but it's still a gorgeous image.  The light on the water works beautifully.

Nice to have so many choices.  The light and point of view on this is quite good.  You are certainly able to take advantage of a good situation and being in the right place at the right time certainly helps in being able to transform your superb skills into an image like this and the previous posting of the Yellowlegs.  Well done.

Congratulations on the WP.  I love this one.  The bird looks like it is tip toeing and the little splash is just icing on the cake.
