Fall in Vermont + Repost
by Craig Moreau
I found the fall color in Vermont this year to be overall very dull and/or brown, but there were patches of vibrant color to be found, like at this pond near Killington. I was happy to get this great afternoon light and interesting clouds to compliment the scene.
I look forward to any and all comments and critiques. Thanks!

10 commentsA quiet and beautiful autumn image. I like the calmness of the lake with some subtle ripples adding positive interest. The lake is surrounded by lovely fall color and the light is beautiful as well. There's a lot to take in, including a great cloud arrangement, but it all comes together beautifully.
I like the inclusion of the rock in the LL; my only small wish that there was a little more room on the left so it's not so cramped. But that is a very minor point.
Processing is spot on as well. Great work!

Lon, I agree about wanting a bit more space around that rock. The frame was a little tight to begin with, then I also had to level the horizon, so that cropped even more out of that corner. Next time I'll have to back up a little.
Gary, I think you're right. I'll take a look at the dark fg.
