One from two days ago at my blind and feeder setup.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 347 mm, Jobu gimbal on blind window, f/9, 1/200 iso 2000, manual exposure,  fill flash at -1 2/3 compensation.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 17.5 MP before resizing.  Taken November 10th at 10:46 am.

While the bird is rather centered here, I thought the tuft of moss ended up balancing the image fairly well and that the composition was sufficiently loose to give the bird plenty of room to fly into.  I'd be interested in your thoughts on the composition.

Thanks,

I agree with your thoughts and reasoning for the composition, and I like it a lot.  I like the perch itself, also.  I also like the DOF and/or the faraway background.

I like the composition. Good job on separating the black eye from the black head.  Your setup has provided you with a very nice background.

Hi Dennis!  Very nice image.  These little guys don't stay still very long, but you captured excellent detail.  Nice job on the lighting too.

I think this composition works well with the diagonal perch.  The bird is in the left-hand lower third although somewhat centered.  There is enough balance with the thickness of the perch and the moss to create a pleasing composition.  The colors in detail work well.  Good job with the fill flash.  The image is nice and clean at iso 2000.
