On our trip to Alaska early in the fall we took a flightseeing tour with the doors off the plane so that I could have an unobstructed view of the passing landscape. It was pretty cold so I had to wear gloves and hand hold the camera. The jostling of the plane often made me make some inadvertent adjustments. The original was shot at f18 and 1/125 which was way too slow SS for good sharpness even with the image stabilization of the camera set at maximum. I liked the comp and scene well enough that I thought I would play with some filters. Used oil paint, twirl and ripple in Photoshop CC 2018. All comments welcome.>=))>

For me, the image conveys a sense of motion.  Your processing seems to accentuate the contours of the landscape.  I like the overall effect, though there are some areas where I might eliminate the ripple effect (such as the sky) and see how it looks.

The textured appearance goes well with the landscape features.  Especially like the detail of strokes in the large version.  Experienced the same issue during a flight over Iceland.  Think you could have shot at f5.6 and bumped the ISO up to 400 and had much faster shutter speeds to work with.  Next time!

The colors and textures are nice and I think you made the best of your situation. I wish the river were more in the middle of the frame as it draws my eye and I'd like to see more of it. Having never shot from a plane with the doors open, I'm sure it isn't easy to get everything all lined up just so.
