A stroll in the State Botanical Garden of Georgia earlier today. There are about 15 miles of hiking trails in the garden, mostly in undeveloped SE Piedmont woodland. Some of the trails see very little traffic - and only a 5 minute drive from my house.

Konica Hexanon 57mm, Sony A7 on a beanbag, somewhere between f/1.4 and f/2, minimal adjustments in Capture One.

The large(st) version is best.

I like the overall warmth of the image. I feel lke there is a bit to much dead space around the foreground tree and I dont think there is enough color separation between the small foreground tree and the background to really make it stand out. Reducing contrast and perhaps saturation in the background might help draw more attention to the foreground.

Alberto: Viewing the large version is a must and works much better for me. A fine find and capture. Well done.>=))>

Alberto,

Great job isolating this with the very wide apertrue and shallow depth of field.  I think the fuzzy background works wonderfully putting all the attention up front.  If I had a wish it might be to reveal a little more of the leaf litter around this little sprig; otherwise great job crafting this one.

This is a really nice change of pace. The shallow DofF works well, along with the bokeh of the lens. I might tone down or clone out the brights of the background bright spots, but not an image breaker either. well done.
