Cranberries 4 Sparrows

This Golden Crowned Sparrow was finally cooperative enough to pose with a berry in its beak while perched on the cotoneaster.  Taken this morning during a slight drizzle but still quite dark.

Iso-4000, 600 mm, F10, 800th, -1 EV, fill flash at two thirds, D 850, tripod, DxO optics lab, ACR 10, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 50%.  I think I probably could've gotten away with a little less flash.]

Very nice angle on this one, David.  Thanks for posting one with a bird eating the berries.  Iso-4000 looks awfully good here.  I'm almost tempted to change camera brands.

Hi David,

Excellent colors and composition. I briefly saw one on my Oregon trip and they are a favorite species of mine. Well done..................Jim

David the colors here are very nice. The bird is very interesting on the branch, which is nicely organized in the frame.
