Oriental Pied Hornbill

Walking the grounds at Baan Maka I was attempting to shoot some Pied Hornbills flying about the property.
As the light was dropping off quickly I noticed the birds would occasionally drop down on a banana tree and break off some fruit.

I was able to snap off a few shots of this bird tossing up a morsel and catching it on its way down.

Great timing, Chuck. A true Picasso of a bird, just his style.

A very cool looking bird, Chuck. Great action and a nice pose. Your exposure on the bird looks excellent as does the detail. You might think about cloning over the bright patch on the edge of the frame to the left of the bird as it does draw my eye quite a bit.

A bit dark on my screen, but probably accurate for the light. I agree with Dennis on the bright patch.

Nice touch with that morsel midair. Agree overall image looks a bit dark.
