Juvenile Goldfinch

This one popped up on my computer wallpaper yesterday and I decided to try reprocessing it to see if I could give it a bit more punch.  I changed the crop just a tiny bit and did some work on the bird, particularly around the face.  I first posted this back in the fall of last year shortly after it was taken.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, I think I was on a tripod, but I'm not sure, f/7.1 1/640, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR & PS.  Cropped to 11.5 MP.  Taken at 10:08 am on August 17th, 2016.

Your comments and critiques are ver much appreciated.

Thanks,

Wow Dennis. the detail in plumage and flowers is really nice, not to mention the wonderful soft, rich colors throughout, including the nice smooth BG. I even like the peek through of the eye between flower in this one. Nice.

The flowers add a lot to this Dennis, and I like the peak a boo pose through them, nicely done! devil

After this week, I am ready for some sun and flowers.  A nice look at this goldfinch feeding.  Good detail and lighting.

Interesting colors on this goldfinch. But I find the image confusing from the way the plant bends and covers a lot of the bird.
