A large portion of the Columbia area is underlain by marble. Geologically; Karst topography. Many of these formations were uncovered during the Gold Rush leaving these intriguing shapes.

I like the light and the concept. The fore rock feels cut off to me and I might vignette the top right corner to even things a bit. Nice look at the rock formations, but not seeing this as a wall hanger.

I'm really liking this Preston.  A couple reasons why. First, I like that you've really isolated this and filled the frame with the marble rock - it's clear what your subject is. And second, the side lighting works really well, although I would agree with Mr. H. and perhaps burn down that UR corner a tad; minor though.

I also find the leaves to be an interesting element.  I like that they kind of hold the rocks together. Interesting also in the pale color. I wasn't there so I can't judge, but it's almost like converting something to b&w, then backing way off on the opacity - if that makes sense.  Don't get me wrong, I actually like the processing here very much.

This is pretty cool actually. Well seen and crafted.

Preston, Very nice work on this! I may not have thought of making a shot like this but you really did a masterful job of doing it. I like the side light on the rock and in the leaves very much. The largest version has very nice detail and wonderful texture. The color is perfect.

Nicely seen, Preston. The sort of scene that most photographers would overlook. This is all about shapes and textures and not sure color is adding anything here. If it were mine, I would try rendering in B&W.

The soft glow of the side lighting has rendered some lovely details and texture in the boulders along with the carpet of leaves, Preston. I can see why you came up with your title as the lead rock reminds me of a dino head. My only suggestion would have been a little more room on the right. Nicely done.

Preston, this focuses very well on the shapes of these rocks, with the lighting enhancing those shapes nicely.  I'm thinking that cropping just a tad off the top adds a nice emphasis to the 3 main subjects and wishing that the corner of the lowest rock were in the frame.  I hadn't thought of marble as Karst topography, but since marble is metamorphosed limestone, it makes sense.
