Lily Pond Reflections

Lon had mentioned on my last image that he was hoping I had worked the reflection too. I did also get this shot with mostly reflection. I don't love the placement of the rocks, but there were a number of things sticking out of the pond in the direction I was looking, and there wasn't any access to other areas of shore, so I did the best I could.

This turned out really well. I much prefer it over your previous post. The rock placements look fine to my eye and such a beautiful reflection! Works for me.

Craig, this is a fine, amazingly clear reflection view.  The rocks provide a nice reality check on the reflection and the thin strip of woods at the top makes a good anchor.  Without the rocks it would be much more abstract.  I think you placed them well.

Craig, a gorgeous scene here. I'm almost sure I've never seen a reflection so clear with all around detail. Excellent capture and no thoughts for change IMO.......laugh

I like this. To me, the rocks are a essential part of the image with the way you framed it.

Craig,

Ask, and you shall receive!  Thanks Craig, I figured one couldn't pass up this location without exploring the reflection possibilities!  I'm quite amazed at the perfect mirror finish.  If it weren't for the rocks in the lake, you could turn this upside down and not know what as real and what was a reflection.

One thing the reflection is doing quite well is accentuating and even improving the light on the trees. And again, the sky is quite complimentary.  I also like how the color temp graduates from cool to warm.

The only other comment, and I'm not sure if I would call this a nit because I'm undecided on this, but that would be the darker shadows along the top.  they're somewhat distracting, but at the same time are adding an interesting element.

A wonderful reflectionscape (ooh, a new term!)

I don't know...
The reflection is so nice.. I think the rocks are jarring.
It may be what you were going for, the execution is very well sone as usual, I am just not a fan of this.
